BUSHFIRE PLANNING
McPeake Town Planning are now offering Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) Assessments undertaken in accordance with AS3959-2018 Construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas.
Our services are provided throughout Queensland- including; the Cairns and Townsville regions.
You may require a Bushfire Attached Level Assessments (BAL) if –
- Considering purchasing a property and want to understand the Bushfire Risk and potential impacts to the site.
- Undertaking development feasibility for a proposed development project and want to understand the bushfire risk.
- Designing a proposed development within a bushfire prone area and want to design the development to reduce the risk to: persons, property and the environment.
- Your proposed development triggers assessment against a Bushfire Hazard Overlay with Council or State Government as part of assessable development under the Planning Act 2016.
- You’re an Architect, Building Designer, Engineer of Building Certifier and you require a BAL report to ensure the building complies with AS3959-2018.
Our team of highly experienced land use planners are also suitably qualified under Section 10.2 of the Technical Reference Guide – State Planning Policy State Interest – Natural Hazards, Risk and Resilience – Bushfire.
Our team are also members of the Fire Protection Association of Australia as Level 1 – BAL Assessors as detailed in FPA Australia’s Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) Accreditation Scheme.
